Tou Nien Xiang
I am currently a researcher at Geriatric Education and Research Institute, Singapore. My research work focuses on exercise and physical activity to promote healthy ageing and extend the health span of older adults. My background and personal interest is in sports science, and I previously attained my PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. My enthusiasm for sport science has stemmed predominantly from my interest in long distance running. Outside academia, I enjoy running and participate in road and trail races.
Being a researcher, I'm naturally attracted to data and numbers. I'm presently self-learning programming languages such as R and python to explore data science. This blog documents my personal projects.
